To plant crops on ash yard in thermal power plant is an effective way in exploiting and utilizing the ash yard. The paper introduces the physical-chemical properties of the coal-fly-ash and the impacts to plant crops incurred by the fertilizer, water, temperature and the trace amount of harmful elements in ash etc..
