Research on mass customization of MIS software based on common business application templates warehouse

Most techniques and methodologies that are currently used by the mass customization of mechnical products can be also applied to MIS production. One practical approach for MIS mass customization is using templates, which are nearly complete applications where the completed parts include applications architecture and reusable components. In this paper, I first present a brief survey of the common business application models derived from various e-business systems, then I conceptualize templates-based approach by presenting the templates warehouse and the architecture of an integrated software mass customization toolkit. I conclude by an example showing the practicability of this approach.
