摘要

This paper aims at evaluating the performance of multiple Permanent Magnet Brushless Direct Current (PMBLDC) motor drive connected to common DC bus system, when subjected to different types of fault (shunt faults) in DC side of the considered system. The DC bus is further considered to be connected to AC grid. Impact of faults on the dynamics of the variables in both DC side and AC side are observed and analysed. In order to perform such analysis PMBLDC motor is modelled in such a manner that inter-turn fault can be created in the modelled motor. The study is carried out in PSCAD/EMTDC platform.
