Digital filter is one of the most important parts of digital signal processing. In many fields of science and technology, it is widely used for signal processing. This paper discusses in detail between the amplitude-frequency characteristic of the FIR high-degree band-block filters with linear phase and the algorithm of the neural network based on the cosine basis functions. The linear-phase band-block filters are designed by the neural networks, which characteristic of the amplitude-frequency is no excess-impulsion and ripple. Its attenuation performance is very good. The example of the FIR band-block filter with a linearly-phase is presented. The result shows that the algorithm is efficient and excellent in the design of the FIR filters.
