System of Patrol and Management for Transmission Line Based on GPS/GSM Handset

Transmission line of the country has many characteristics: multilevel voltage, long line, extensive terrain, and so on. All of them would make trouble for the patrol and management. Because of the great importance of patrol and management for the safe of the transmission line, electrical corporation must predominate all things of the transmission line. Handset based on GPS/GSM is small (120 X 90 X 25mm) , convenient for schlep, and it has high sensitivity and positioning precision (5m). With Jupiter GPS receiver, collecting the information of transmission line, and compiling short message of the information sent to the department of the management through GSM network. Thus, the parameter of the transmission line is on file, and it can provide convenience for the work of managing and servicing. Patrol and management were combined to the system, using the background database and GIS, the manager can find out the information of the broken-down equipment, such as parameter and situation. Known the information, they can maintain it timely, which make the expense reduced. By this broken, the system has great positive action to the management and maintenance of the electrodynamic system.
