Study on the Portable Measure Instrument for Impulse Grounding Resistance

It is well known that measurement of grounding resistance under impulse voltage is of great importance for safe operation of power system and electronic equipment. The paper introduces a measuring apparatus for impulse grounding resistance based on the transforming calculation. Measuring principle is provided firstly. Then the structure of hardware, design of software and project of reliability are introduced in details. Finally, simulative results and a set of actual measuring result are given. The apparatus has many merits such as small volume, lightweight, long work time, novel measuring thought and stabilization. In addition, the apparatus can store wave shape and communicate. It can completely meet the demand to measure impulse grounding resistance of field tower.
