Dimension stones in Thailand

After the SE-Asian economic crisis in 1997 the Thai dimension stone industry undergoes a significant upturn since 2001. Companies offer a product range with well defined grades, mainly floor tiles that meet quality standards in the processing. Investigations reveal that the country disposes of many varying dimension stone quarries from which the most prominent are quoted in this article. Additionally, data on the tensile strength and thermal dilatation are given for selected dimension stones from Thailand.
