Methods of Manufacturing Prototypes of Foam Molding Tool and Pattern

The article introduces three methods of manufacturing prototype tools and patterns: 1) Making a prototype tool by coating a solid mold with special plastic material, then making a foam pattern in the tool; 2) Producing a prototype tool by CNC machining on a plastic plate, and then filling the tool with the liquid resin to create a pattern; 3) Based on Rapid Prototyping, the metal tool is rapidly produced with precision casting process, and the foam part is directly obtained in the metal tool.
