A Method of Economic Performance Evaluation in ERP Project for Electric Power Enterprise Based on DEA

The reforms in electric power system lead to the competition mechanism and break the market barracks through electric price bidding. Under this new circumstance, high efficiency, low cost, improved service, and optimized enterprise resource are demanded by electric power enterprises. So the ERP and how to evaluate ERP project are paid much attention to nowadays. When the DEA method is used to evaluate the relative efficiency between homogeneous sections or units, it shows its good result. Moreover, it is more simple and practical than other methods for evaluating the complicate ERP project of electric power enterprise. This paper presents a utility method of economic performance evaluation in ERP project for electric power enterprise based on DEA, which lays a foundation for implementing and improving following projects and helps the enterprises reduce unnecessary inputs and receive additional outputs.
