The Development Of Educational Data Broadcasting Using Analog Satellite TV Channel

The paper gives a description of application system of CETV's satellite TV network. China Education Television (CETV) is a specialized TV station producing and broadcasting a variety of teaching and educational programs, CETV uses three transponders on the APT-1A to broadcast educational programs. In order to make the most of the satellite transponders, CETV is developing the resources and multiplex applications of satellite transponders, while broadcasting analog TV programs. The three subcarriers are designed in CETV-1 system,sub-3 for data broadcasting; the VBI data broadcasting system is designed in CETV-1 and CETV-2. Data is received through PC card in computer. The system is connected with some communication networks and forms the complex network of wireless broadcasting and earth-based two way non-balance communication. The paper introduces the experiments & research of transmitting analog TV & a digital channel broadcasting in transponder of bandwidth 36MHz.
