China's auto ownership is growing rapidly every year, and the number of private cars has exceeded 100 million. With the improvement of society, safe transportation has become the most important part of daily life. In order to prevent the driver from driving fatigue, the "Road Traffic Safety Law Enforcement Ordinance" provides that if the driver drives motor vehicles for more than 4 hours, who does not stop for 20 minutes for rest, the driver will be punished. However, in real life, in some cases, the driver has to drive fatigue, but also because the driver did not rest well, not up to four hours of driving time, but is tired. According to statistics, fatigue driving is one of the most important reasons for traffic accidents. 25% to 30% of the traffic accident is caused by the fatigue driving, causing major accidents. The number of domestic traffic accidents caused by fatigue driving is still increasing. In order to reduce the number of casualties caused by fatigue driving, effectively monitoring the driver fatigue state, in the event of fatigue warning or early warning is an important measure to reduce traffic accidents. This paper analyzes the existing fatigue monitoring technology at home and abroad, introduces the causes and research status of fatigue driving, and reviews several typical monitoring methods.
