The Internet through the Eyes of a Visually Impaired Person

The majority of almost all sites found under a Google search using the keywords, "visually impaired," were found to be "visually impaired unfriendly." Many of these sites were soliciting business from customers who were unlikely to be able to read the materials found on these websites without assistance, either in the form of software or some type of magnifiers. To make matters worse, color was often a detriment rather than an aid. Simple suggestions at very little cost are made as to how to improve the situation are made. Only those with sufficient vision to read 32 point text are the subject of this paper.
