摘要

With the advent of “intelligent manufacturing”, it is becoming main pattern in the ship industry that ship design, inspection, manufacturing and operation are based on 3D digital model. How to build a 3D ship model rapidly, and convert CAD model into CAE model rapidly have become hot topics for ship engineers. This paper introduces a CAD/CAE integrated system for ship structure developed by China Classification Society (CCS) on the top of Siemens NX platform. A parametric and rapid modeling system is developed for 3D ship structure following the modeling habit of ship engineers. The system achieves several key functions, including intelligent creation of compartment, mesh ship structure automatically to finite elements, attach attributes of ship structure to CAE model automatically and update CAE model with the modification of CAD model automatically. The system cannot only save a great deal of time and labor cost, but also shorten design cycle.
