Engineering design revolves a lot of design data. Partial design data are described in the form of engineering curves. In the paper, an engineering curve is digitized through data sampling of the engineering curve, data correction, data extraction, scale conversion, data sort and storage. Furthermore, the linear interpolation and parabola interpolation are used to retrieve and query data.
