摘要

A 3D finite element analysis for elastic-plastic damage behaviour in fiber-reinforced polymeric laminates is presented. In order to predict the mechanical behaviour when a laminate structure is affected by distributed microcracks, a model which deals with the Continuous Damage Mechanics (CDM) and the Ther-modynamic Framework is developed. The inelastic effects, considered as permanent deformation increments and stiffness reduction are coupled, thermodynamically, through the concept of the effective stress. Few internal adjustable parameters, which depend on the available experimental data, are introduced in the formulation. In order to accurately predict the mechanical behaviour of the structure, a 3D layer wise constant shear (3DLCS) finite element is adopted. Selected examples show the validity of the model.
