摘要

The study presented consists in the development of a hydromorphological model in order to simulate the hydrodynamics and the suspended sediments balance in the surrounding waters of Macao. This model adequately reflects not also the essential extreme processes such as average currents created by the joint tidal, wind and runoff effects and the resulting processes of sediment transport, but also those resulting from interaction of the above factors plus the wave regime. This point as been somewhat neglected in previous studies on the sedimentation processes in this region and the effect of waves on the sedimentological balance should be stressed out. The waves' influence proved to be essential has depicted trough the calibration process.
