摘要

Electricite de France (E.D.F.) is actively involved in the development of CFB power plants. Thanks to a wide Research and Development program around (Lucat et at) the 125 MWe Emile Huchet and the 250 MWe Provence (Jaud et at) units (two boilers designed by Stein-Lurgi), E.D.F. has been able to get a good knowledge of hydrodynamics and heat transfer in the circulating loop as well as the backpass. One of the main objectives of the R&D program was to gather this information and results in a steady state operating model of a CFB boiler and to simulate the operation of the 250 MW Provence power plant. This model has been developed before the first ignition of the Provence power plant in order to check the design and to help on-field engineers during the start-up phase. Furthermore, this model allows R&D engineers to make parametric studies and to evaluate new designs.
