ADVANTAGES AND DISADVANTAGES OF LUMPED-PARAMETER OR PHASE-DIVIDING HAM MODELS

The influence of a variation of the introduced phase-dividing function on non-isothermal moisture transport processes is investigated by means of computer simulations. The discussion will be illustrated with measurements from Carmeliet and calculations on samples of ceramic brick, which is the material used in a common exercise performed by laboratories working under the European Research Project BE96-3290 "Development of a new methodology to analyse the durability of facade repair and retrofitting systems" on material characterization.
