Wind-driven rain studies provide the main input to problems such as precipitation protection, sealing, and drainage accumulation. Physical modeling results are used to develop and calibrate a numerical model to determine raindrop trajectories and the associated wetting of building facades. Applications such as the role played by a cornice in protecting the upper part of a low-rise building or the wetting and downwash on a sloped face of a high-rise building are presented.
