Application of PSO algorithm to damage identification forconcrete bridges

摘要

This study proposed a method to identify damage of concrete bridges using Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) algorithm and FEM. In the truss structure problem, the feasibility study on the location and severity of damage using this integrated method was conducted. Then, damage identification for reinforced concrete beam was performed to verify the effectiveness of this novel method.
