This paper describes an artificial ecosystem made up of hens and seeds. Both populations are submitted to a genetic evolution process containing selection, mutations and/or cross-over. The main point is the fact that the selection process for hens is implemented by the seeds and, conversely, the selection process for seeds is implemented by the hens. So, like in the biological case, the evaluation functions of our genetic algorithms are unsteady. Then, due to the higher speed of adaptability of seeds, hens cannot survive without the help of individual learning. So, they use the individual learning-forgetting method we recently introduced.
