摘要

Fault detection, isolation and recovery are some of the most critical activities in which astronauts and flight controllers participate. This paper describes a platform independent, agent-oriented methodology for performing these functions using a Java based agent-oriented programming language. An important feature of the system is an agent activity tracking mechanism that allows the user to observe what the agent system is doing. The goals in developing the system included both training astronauts and flight controllers and providing an automated assistant.
