Some methods of water environment protection and wastewater treatment process control based on artificial intelligence are studied in resent years, and discussed in this article. Wastewater treatment is a complicated biochemistry process, and it is hard to establish an accurate mathematical model, so the process can't be controlled with closed loop system. To solve these problems, intelligent soft sensing based on artificial neural network may be used to fulfill measurement of the effluent BOD(Biochemical Oxygen Demand ) from system , and the process can be controlled in real time by the fuzzy logical to change the frequency of motor for DO (Deliquescent Oxygen) control. Genetic algorithm with binary coding to express units, and 20 bits of binary digits to express DO and other variables separately, also can be used for multivariable optimal control with the lowest operational cost by limiting total substrate discharge in the process. A good effect is represented by simulation, and results of this research are practical and realistic.
