This paper describes a procedure for a complete three-dimensional analysis of the wind tunnel data for the determination of structural loads and responses of buildings for design purposes. Recent development of wind tunnel measurement techniques, coupled with increased computing power, allow the use of a more fundamental approach with minimum assumptions. Results from the 3-dimensional analysis are compared with results from the 1-dimensional analysis and the conventional force analysis method. The 3-dimensional method is considered a significant improvement over previous approaches, particularly for buildings with significant structural and/or aerodynamic coupling, because of the absence of significant assumptions.
