Welding and Joining Technology and hence the International Institute of Welding (IIW) have a major positive impact on the global quality of life. IIW, a not-for-profit body, has built up a lively, enthusiastic, sound, well managed, 48 member country international organisation, offering a wide range of services and products including networking and information exchange. China and others can play an increasing role in the work of IIW to everybody's benefit.
