The Discussion of Primary Explosive Compatibility

This paper tries to explain the conception, test theory and evaluate the rules of primary explosive compatibility, which is used in the failure analysis of pyrotechnic devices. According to the definition and problematical essence of compatibility, the compatible reason and reaction mechanism of primary explosive are clarified. The main problem of primary explosive compatibility is the chemical compatibility. This paper also shows the characters of chemical compatibility test methods, including VST, DTA, TGA, DSC, GPC, sensor, and storage test. Combined with the required powder components and crystal form, the common instrument analytical methods of powder components are introduced.
