Awareness and Use of Electronic Theses and Dissertations (ETD) with Special Reference to Shodhganga and Shodhgangotri of INFLIBNET : A Study of Scientific Community Library Users of Assam University, Silchar

Electronic Theses and Dissertations (ETD) are the most important documents which are being used and consulted by the research scholars and faculty members across the disciplines not only in India rather across the world. ETD collections are managed and maintained in India by the several agencies like Vidyanidhi of Mysore University and Sodhganga and Sodhagangotri of INFLIBNET Centre in India particularly. This study provides the basic information about the various ETD Repositories including Shodhganga and Sodhgangotri repositories designed and developed by the INFLIBNET Centre and attempts to find the awareness level pertaining to the use of ETDs by the scientific community research scholars and faculty members of Assam University, Silchar using survey method. The findings of the study are disseminated in the paper along with suggestions and recommendations.
