PREVENTION OF AUTOIMMUNE DIABETES IN NOD MICE WITH DELIVERY OF IL-4 AND IL-10 PLASMIDS

We evaluated the effect of combined delivery of plasmid DNA with mouse IL-4 and IL-10 using a degradable cationic polymeric carrier, poly[α-(4-aminobutyl)-L-glycolic acid] (PAGA) in NOD mice. The results showed that co-injection of PAGA/IL-4 and PAGA/IL-10 plasmid prevented the development of diabetes by one third.
