Chitosan-insulin nanoparticles were prepared by ionotropic gelation of chitosan with tripolyphosphate anions. The effects of formulation pH on the characteristics of the nanoparticles, including particle size, yield, encapsulating and loading efficiency, were evaluated in this paper.
