This paper gives a simplified modelling of a Photovoltaic (PV) panel used in nanosatellite applications. For this reason, a single diode equivalent circuit model is proposed. Thereafter, a description of the triple-junction cell is presented. Then, the parameters extraction process of the used PV cell equivalent circuit is performed. In order to study the electrical performance of the equivalent circuit model, the nominal values provided by the manufacturer, namely: open circuit voltage, short-circuit current, the maximum power voltage and current are used to extract the unknown parameters ( Iph, Irs, R
