Energy storage systems: An overview of existing technologies and analysis of their applications within the power system of Montenegro

Power system stability highly depends on the balance between supply and demand. Energy storage systems represent modern technology that might be highly beneficial for maintaining of this request. Consenquently, this paper addresses energy storage systems issue, in terms of reviewing of different technologies the systems are based on and finding the most convenient solution for the implementation within the power system of Montenegro. The latter analysis is performed by using of ES-Select software.
