摘要

As it known;;the ice cover renders significant abrasion effect onsurface of the offshore structures;;especially in the seas with the highdynamics of drift.At present oil and gas fields of Northeast Sakhalin where thedrift velocity of ice formations reaches 1.5 m/s are under development.This paper considers the major problem of the estimation of iceeffect on IRP and definition of wear intensity of a steel structure fromabrasion by drifting ice.KEY WORDS: ice-resistant platform (IRP);;ice fields;;loading cycles;loading regime;;abrasion process.
