Director orientation from dielectric response of the planarly aligned cholesteric liquid crystal showed sub-millisecond response to the in-plane electric field. Along with the dielectric response, there are pitch elongation and flexoelectric response simultaneously. Especially the pitch elongation is expected to disturb the fast dielectric response. So we tried to block the pitch elongation with polymer stabilizing the cholesteric structure. The polymer stabilized cholesteric structure indicates that the structure is stable up to several times higher electric field strength.
