Single Panel LCOS for RPTV

摘要

Single Panel LCOS systems lumen estimates are presented showing 429 lumen throughput using 120W lamp at 450 color field per second update rates with a WXGA (1280x768) LCOS panel. With the addition of a white segment, 624 lumens using a 150W lamp is possible with a single panel LCOS engine with 450 color frame per second update rate. These efficacy improvements are attributed to 1) improved system F-number 2) New liquid crystal mode 3) new driving schemes leading better duty cycles and 4) engine design to match the attributes of MicroDisplay's LCOS panel.
