摘要

The microstructure and field emission properties of carbon nanotubes (CNTs) synthesized by arc method and CVD method were investigated. The results of HRTEM observations and Raman spectra show the high temperature arc process can produce CNT that has perfect graphitic layer structure and high I(G)/I(D) ratio. The Ratio of G-line(sp~2bond) and D-line(sp~3bond) is about 2.8-3.5. From field emission measurement, the low onset field are about 1.4-2.4 V/μm and can be attributed to highly sharp tips and high, electric conductivity of CNTs.
