By selection and optimization a method was designed to modify nanoparticles before theywere dispersed in polyacrylate resin. The method was that nanoparticles were modified by silane couplingagent with special function group and coupling agent copolymerized with monomers to produce a thinpolymer shell on the nanoparticles. The modified nanoparticles were applied to polyacrylate coating. Theperformance and anti-corrosion property of the coating were measured by different methods. The resultsindicate that the modification of nano-fillers can improve anti-corrosion property of polyacrylate coating.The mechanism had been analyzed.
