An Investigational Analysis on the Annoyance of Low Frequency Noise Induced by the Subway Vibration

To research the annoyance of low-level low frequency noise induced by the subwayvibration, we have an investigation into the sensitive building and dwellers along thesubway. The investigation includes two parts, one is the measurement of noise andvibration in the sensitive building, and the other is the questionnaire to the dwellers. As aresult ,it is found that: the low frequency noise frequency mostly is in the range from 50Hzto 80Hz, and the highest instantaneous sound pressure is 33.1dB(A) to 37.5 dB(A) whenthe subway come by; the average vibration level of floor is below 70dB(1Hz -80Hz), andthe statistic result shows that the vibration have not significant effect on the peopleannoyance, while low-level low frequency noise induce the vibratory sensation, throughwhich contributes to inducing high annoyance in persons together with other factors; theoccurring rate of neurasthenic symptom of dwellers along the subway is highersignificantly than the ordinary persons(P<0.05).
