Revision of Building Bulletin 93

摘要

The Building Regulations of England and Wales require new schools to meet acoustic performance standards that are contained in Building Bulletin 93(BB 93).BB 93 was published in 2003 and is currently under review by the two government departments responsible for education and schools,and the Building Regulations.Consultation with individuals and professional organizations involved in the design of school buildings has led to many suggestions for alterations and additions to BB93.This paper describes the review process and summarizes the main points that have been made by contributors to the review.The draft changes to BB93 that have been agreed to date and are currently (May 2009)being finalized are presented.
