Revision of Building Bulletin 93

摘要

The Building Regulations of England and Wales require new schools to meet acousticperformance standards that are contained in Building Bulletin 93 (BB 93). BB 93 waspublished in 2003 and is currently under review by the two government departmentsresponsible for education and schools, and the Building Regulations. Consultation withindividuals and professional organizations involved in the design of school buildings hasled to many suggestions for alterations and additions to BB93. This paper describes thereview process and summarizes the main points that have been made by contributors tothe review. The draft changes to BB93 that have been agreed to date and are currently(May 2009) being finalized are presented.
