摘要

The penetration of carbon in wrought steels during heat treatment is well documented.A simple calculation can estimate depth by using the 'K' factor for the specific alloy and temperature.This is not the case for powder metal alloys with their various alloys and densities.It has been observed that the variable density along iwth effecting the depth of penetration,may also effect the final carbon content.
