A strong platform to understand steady-state analysis and operation of Isolated Asynchronous Generators using a highly advanced FPGA based Typhoon HIL 402 based emulator and its comparison with Matlab Simulink environment is shown. The advantages of real-time simulators are very well explained with its offline models used in MATLAB. The proposed 7.5 Kw, 415 V IAG is excited using a delta connected Capacitor banks and the simulation is carried out in MATLAB SIMULINK and Typhoon HIL at rated loaded conditions to get output voltage of 415 V, 50 Hz.
