In this study, current density-voltage (J-V) relation in dye-sensitized solar cells (DSSCs) has been derived from simplified form of the standard equivalent circuit model. Current density-voltage (J-V) relation of an equivalent circuit for DSSC, which gives a more accurate data and well fitted to the experimental J-V curves and good agreement. Furthermore, the J-V curve is observed that the measurement of J-V curve devoid of the consequence of the series resistance which enhances the squareness of the J-V curve along with both Jsc and Voc remain same as before and demonstrating a potential scope to raise the fill-factor (FF) along with the conversion efficiency (η) of the DSSC by reducing the consequence of RS.
