Using a Test System to Measure and Improve the Performance of a Coherent Detector

摘要

In this paper, the configuration and procedure of a test system for coherent detector are presented. The DC bias, gain and phase imbalance, image and DC rejection capabilities of a 60MHz coherent detector are measured by the test system. The algorithm of an error correction circuit is implemented in the computer of the test system to reduce the DC bias and image power. The experiment results show that the image frequency response and DC bias error of the coherent detector can be effectively suppressed by the correction circuit.
