Underwater imaging sonar prefers high frequency sound signal. This is due to its high spatial resolution and wide bandwidth. But as the frequency increases, attenuation increases, which leads to range limitation. The present paper discusses a study on high frequency pulser based power amplifier that can be used for underwater imaging sonar applications. Studies were carried out using MAX14808 pulser evaluation board. Measurements were taken for different resistive loads.
