4D INFORMATION MODEL IN THE INTEGRATED DESIGN OFMECHANICAL PRODUCTS

This paper researches the space-time characteristicsrnin the process of mechanical products design from thernview of common space-time, and advances the concept ofrn4D information model in the process of mechanicalrnproducts design for the first time, which links the 3Drnmodel of mechanical products with the process of design,rnthen analyses the space-time characteristics of integratedrndesign methods such as Concurrent Design, CooperativernDesign, Design for product whole life-cycle and so on,rnand discusses the composing and the function of 4Drninformation model. A new approach to the mechanismrnproducts design and the management of its process arernprovided.
