摘要

Manufacturing system and its operation conditionsrnchange in response to changes of the externalrnenvironments. Accordingly its data model should bernadjusted for the changes of the production process andrnmaterials to be processed. Usually, most knowledge andrninformation about such changes of the system are highlyrnassociated with materials to be processed. We proposed arnmethod of creating data model from partial knowledge andrninformation that are obtained through state transitionrndiagram. The method is based on the Property CentricrnModeling (PCM). The basic idea of PCM is to associaternproperties to be managed by the information system withrnphysical material the manufacturing system processes.rnPCM facilitates to design the data model for the discreternmanufacturing system, which is flexible for the processrnmodifications.
