THE INTERVAL FINITE ELEMENT METHOD FOR THE STOCHASTICSTRUCTURES

With the concepts of the confidence interval, arnrandom parameter can be transformed into an intervalrnnumber in the structural analysis. Hence analyses ofrnuncertain structural systems can be used in the traditionalrnfinite element method software. For some cases thernamount of the solution in stochastic structures is nearly asrnmuch as that in the traditional structural problems. Inrnaddition, a new method to appreciate the structuralrnprobability is presented for the needs of the modernrnengineering design.
