摘要

When developing embedded systems, thernheterogeneity and compositionality of functions andrnarchitecture of the systems must be described duringrndesign stage. UML, describing static structures andrndynamic behaviors of a system from multi viewpoints, canrnnaturally specify such characteristics. This paper proposesrnan extension method of UML for developing embeddedrnsystems, and it is extended on the aspects of real-time,rnconcurrency and distribution properties. It realizes thernusage of UML in the domain of network communicationrnprotocol. Finally the extended UML is successfullyrnapplied to the practice of developing FF HSErncommunication protocol stack software.
