Understanding the NEMA motor-generator standards of sectionMG-1-1993, revision 3, three-phase induction motors

The National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA)nmotor-generator standards (MG-1) have gone through numerous revisionsnand additions. Key information pertaining to motor performance,nconstruction and operating conditions are provided for end users'nconsideration when specifying electric motors. There still is somenconfusion regarding how to specify electric motors and how to interpretnnameplate data on existing motors. This paper provides the user with ancondensed version of MG-1 to serve as a quick reference guide
