In order to evaluate the effect of a chemical explosion test and to decide the safety of the test conditions, we used a highly precise and reliable measurement system to monitor it online to find out the leakage and diffusing of CO gas produced during the test in a special medium. For infilling explosion mode, we developed a monitor system based on electrochemical sensors which can be buried into the test medium directly without man-induced disturbance to acquire the data with less system error and distortion to replace the outdated pumping technique. The electrochemical sensors model 7E/F & 3F/D we used are produced by City Technology Limited. The results indicate that the monitoring system can work reliably within 144 hours during our test and the outputs are 1.5%~3% less than the actual CO concentration affected by pressure and temperature.
